Gardner Golf Course first opened for play in 1995. The course was designed by Doug Pickert.
Gardner Golf Course was built on rolling terrain, so be prepared for some uneven lies. The fairways are wide, with about half being tree lined. There are a few sand bunkers that come into play throughout the design, and water hazards come into play on four holes. The greens are medium-sized, sloped and fairly fast.
Gardner Golf Course plays to 6,165 yards from the back tees. Par for the course is 71. The course rating is 68.9 with a slope rating of 118.
The signature hole is #13, a 556-yard, par 5, featuring a dogleg left fairway with trees on both sides. A creek comes into play on the second shot, and you need to be real careful on the approach because there are trees and out-of-bounds stakes to the right of the green.
